What can I expect from speech therapy?

We'll start with a brief phone call to talk through your child's needs and what you're noticing. From there, we'll schedule an evaluation (formal or informal) to better understand your child's strengths and areas where support may be helpful. Together, we'll create a plan with clear, meaningful goals and a schedule that works for your family. After each session, you'll receive a brief update along with simple, engaging ideas to support progress at home. Traci also completes more in-depth progress reviews on a quarterly basis.

When are appointments available?

Weekday and evening appointments are available during the summer months, and evening appointments are available during the school year.

Where are therapy sessions conducted?

Three convenient options are available for families in Illinois: in-office speech therapy at the Savoy, IL office (serving the Champaign-Urbana area), mobile speech therapy at your home or local library (serving the Effingham-Teutopolis area), and online teletherapy available statewide across Illinois.

What types of payment do you accept?

Private pay and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois are currently accepted.

Will you collaborate with my child's school speech therapist?

Yes, collaboration is an important part of the process. As a school-based SLP, Traci is familiar with how school services work and can align with a child's IEP goals when appropriate, helping create consistency and build on progress already being made.
